The Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics develops robots that enable people to interact with the environment more efficiently, effectively and safely. The robots are designed to work in environments that are inaccessible or dangerous for humans, but also to support and relieve people at work and in everyday life.

 

What to expect

Robotics in the field of humanoid service robots aims to automate dangerous tasks. 
To realise these highly sophisticated systems, integrated legs, arms, hands and upper bodies are being developed. 
The development process encompasses the design, assembly, commissioning and comprehensive testing of the systems. 

 

Your tasks

  • developing concepts for finger kinematics based on existing ideas 
  • developing new concepts for finger kinematics 
  • producing prototypes and implementing designs in CAD
  • setting up test benches and conducting tests
  • conducting literature research on current finger kinematics

 

Your profil

  • very good knowledge of gearboxes and robot kinematics
  • very good knowledge of design using CAD
  • good knowledge of prototyping (3D printing, etc.)
  • an independent, structured and committed approach to work
